NepFINepFI

Cookie Policy

How NepFI uses cookies and similar technologies on the website, accounts service, and customer applications.

Last updated: 24 June 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. We use them to operate NepFI, keep you signed in, and understand how the service is used.

2. How we use cookies

NepFI uses cookies on nepfi.com, accounts.nepfi.com, myaccount.nepfi.com, product subdomains, and related properties.

3. Types of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary: authentication session cookies, security tokens, load-balancer affinity, and CSRF protection. These are required for sign-in and cannot be disabled while using the service.
  • Functional: locale, theme (light/dark), and wizard progress preferences.
  • Analytics (optional): Microsoft Clarity — session replay, heatmaps, and click-pattern analytics on the public marketing website (nepfi.com) only. Clarity sets _clck (up to 1 year) and _clsk (1 day) cookies to identify returning visitors and link events within a session. Clarity does not run on authenticated surfaces (accounts.nepfi.com, myaccount.nepfi.com, or any product subdomain). Opt out: https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement. Google Analytics (GA4) — page-view and engagement statistics on the public marketing website only. Google Analytics sets _ga (2 years), _gid (24 hours), and _ga_* (session-scoped, up to 2 years) cookies to distinguish visitors and measure traffic. Google Analytics does not run on authenticated surfaces.
  • Marketing (optional): not used on any NepFI surface. Any future marketing cookies will be disclosed here and gated by consent.

4. Third-party cookies

  • Google: when you choose Google Sign-In, Google may set cookies on their domains as part of the OAuth flow. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Microsoft Clarity: on the public marketing website (nepfi.com) we use Clarity for session replay and heatmaps. Microsoft acts as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement. Clarity's privacy documentation is at https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement.
  • Google Analytics: on the public marketing website (nepfi.com) we use Google Analytics 4 for page-view and engagement statistics. Google acts as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement. See Google's Privacy Policy for Google's privacy documentation.

We do not control third-party cookies set by Google or Microsoft on their own domains.

5. Managing cookies

  • Preference centre: use the 'Cookie settings' link in the website footer or click the cookie icon that appears after you have made a choice to reopen the preference centre at any time.
  • Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in.
  • Sign out: clears the active session cookie on the device.
  • Theme and locale preferences can be changed in MyAccount settings.

7. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add features or subprocessors. The date at the top indicates the latest revision.
